Distance-selling context
Where an engagement is concluded remotely without face-to-face contact, Taiwan’s Consumer Protection Act may provide a seven-day cooling-off period for applicable distance contracts. Proposed, pending business confirmation: for consulting statements of work, the cooling-off period may not apply once you expressly agree that we begin deliverable work within that window; the written engagement letter will state how this applies.
Eligibility for refunds
- Deposits before work starts: If no deliverable work has begun, a full refund of any prepaid deposit may be issued within fourteen business days of a written cancellation request.
- Work in progress: Fees for hours or milestones already performed, and any non-recoverable third-party costs approved in writing, are non-refundable.
- Technical review deliverables: Once written findings are delivered, the review fee is non-refundable because the service has been rendered.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel a not-yet-started engagement block by email. Scheduled pairing sessions cancelled with less than forty-eight hours’ notice may be billed at fifty percent of the agreed session fee (proposed, pending business confirmation).
How to request a refund
Email info@onwardmatrix.digital with your name, engagement reference, and reason. We respond within five business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method where possible, otherwise by bank transfer in TWD.
No-shows
If you miss a scheduled session without notice, the session may be treated as delivered for billing purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights under Taiwanese law.
